Haunted Hotel? The Seelbach in Kentucky.

The Spirits at Seelbach Hotel in Kentucky

We research haunted locations. Our main website is http://www.paranormalspectrum.com

Take a ghost tour and visit the Seelbach Hotel in Louisville, KY while learning about the spooky happenings. Or stay a night in this lovely, historic hotel. You most likely will not be disappointed.

Built in 1905, and renovated in 2000, you can enjoy the charm of yesteryear with modern amenities. But be careful, that reflection in the mirror may not be your own. Could it be the still mourning Patricia Wilson who awaited her husband’s arrival at the hotel to find out he was killed in an automobile accident? Her body was later found in the elevator shaft clad in a blue dress after falling ten stories. Was it suicide or murder? A few people have seen such an apparition in a long blue chiffon dress, entering the elevator then simply vanishing – Even when the doors are closed.

Or maybe you will awaken to the TV turning on by itself in the wee morning hours. Who could be the prankster? Is it the apparition of an older man who is keen on also turning the air conditioner down low, to awaken the guests to freezing temperatures? There has also been an unknown “unearthly” visitor of an old woman in ragged clothing.

On our overnight visit we did not hear or see anything out of the ordinary. We took lots of pictures, a good amount of video and digital voice recordings in hopes of capturing an EVP. We left the digital voice recorder in our room for hours in our absence.  We were unable to verify that this location is haunted. But it is our understanding that the sightings of spirits are infrequent, yet they do happen. Especially on the 8th and 10th floors.

My friend told me a story about when she stayed at the seelbach she heard a voice speaking to her in the middle of the night, a young womens voice. She said the elavator would not take her to her room so she took the stairs, when she woke the next morning her shoes were missing from her room. She never saw her shoes again and had to buy a new pair. She later learned that some people have said the Seelbach was haunted. She stayed on the 5th floor next to the elevator.

    • That story definitely fits some of the stories I have heard about. We left a digital recorder on in our room when we left for a few hours and periodically there was the sound of movement from an empty room. Not sure what made the noises, just shuffling sounds and like someone was throwing back the covers on a bed but nothing was disturbed when we returned,

I have a very interesting story from the Seelbach hotel from 2005. Never before a believer in ghosts, I’m now 95% convinced that at least one resides in the Seelbach hotel – one with an apparent shoe fettish.
